Established in Meadowvale in 1979, the Erinvale School of Dance is the area’s oldest private dance school. The school features an experienced and energetic team of teachers with expertise in all levels of ballet, acro, hip-hop, lyrical, tap and jazz. The school boasts a high standard of teaching in accordance with the Cecchetti method.
Instruction is offered to all levels and ages, where advancement is determined through ability. Senior students are often granted the opportunity to put this into practice assisting other students.
Results that Count
The Erinvale School of Dance approach is one that works. Over 190 of our students have studied with us continuously for over ten years, and hundreds for five or more years. The development of a love of dance in so many enthusiastic students has been our greatest achievement. To see so many students continue their involvement with dance, year after year, is the greatest reward.
Where are they now?
Students have utilized their talents in television, movies, dance shows, and athletic endeavours. One former student, Erika-Leigh Stirton, was a Canadian and Commonwealth Rhythmic Gymnastics Champion. Many of our dancers have been accepted for the high school dance programs at the Cawthra School for the Arts and the Quinte Ballet School. Others have gone on to University dance programs at York and Ryerson. Several others have been accepted by the National Ballet School and have gone on to dance with the National Ballet of Canada.
