About Us

Founded in 1979, Erinvale School of Dance is the area’s oldest private dance school.

The School
Established in 1979

Established in Meadowvale in 1979, the Erinvale School of Dance is the area’s oldest private dance school. Erinvale was founded by, and is still proudly owned by Corinne Land, and managed by her daughter, Laurelle Carrigan. The pair have over 70 years of combined dance and instruction experience, and share their passion and love for dance with each and every student. They lead a team of energetic instructors who provide specific expertise in all levels of Ballet, Acrobatics, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, and Musical Theatre.

Our System Works
Results that Count

The Erinvale School of Dance approach is one that works. Over 288 of our students have studied with us continuously for over ten years, and hundreds for five or more years. The development of a love of dance in so many enthusiastic students has been our greatest achievement. To see so many students continue their involvement with dance, year after year, is the greatest reward.

Student Success
Where Are They Now?

Students have utilized their talents in television, movies, dance shows, and athletic endeavours. One former student, Erika-Leigh Stirton, was a Canadian and Commonwealth Rhythmic Gymnastics Champion. Many of our dancers have been accepted for the high school dance programs at the Cawthra School for the Arts and the Quinte Ballet School. Others have gone on to University dance programs at York and Ryerson. Several others have been accepted by the National Ballet School and have gone on to dance with the National Ballet of Canada.
